This app is a private notebook for your job hunt. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and we do not run a server that stores anything you write.
Everything you enter lives in a database on your device, and optionally in your own iCloud. The Analytics tab is computed on your device from your own entries.
The one exception is the AI features. When you tap one of them, and only then, the text it needs is sent to Google to be processed and the answer is sent back. Nothing about you is sent in the background. The one request the app makes on its own asks Google's server what time it is, and it carries nothing about you. The next section says exactly what goes.
The app keeps only what you put into it:
- Applications: company, position, status, dates, seniority
- Salary details and job posting links
- Locations you enter for a role or an interview
- Interview dates, meeting links, and notes
- PDF attachments such as resumes and cover letters
- The resumes you save for the AI tools, and the text read out of them
- Your goals and preferences from Settings
All of it lives in a local database on your device.
The AI features run on Google's Gemini models, reached through Firebase AI Logic. They only ever run when you tap them, and each one sends only what it needs:
- Autofill: the job posting you paste, or the page at the link you give it
- Relevancy Check: the text of the resume you pick, and the posting you are checking it against
- Resume Review: the text of the resume you pick
- Analyze my Job Search: a summary of your application statistics, your most recent applications including any notes on them, and the text of your saved resume
The PDF itself is never uploaded. Only the text read out of it is sent, and only for the resume you selected.
Your requests go to Google and are handled under Google's terms for that service. We do not keep a copy, and there is no account tying a request to you. Your device also sends Apple's App Attest check to Google so the service can tell a real copy of the app from an impostor.
If you never tap an AI feature, none of this happens.
If you turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, your data is copied to your personal iCloud account through Apple's CloudKit so it can follow you across your devices.
- The data sits in your private iCloud database, tied to your Apple ID
- It is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
- We have no access to it in any form
- Turning sync off, or deleting data in the app, applies to the synced copies too
Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud itself.
How many AI runs you have left does not travel through this switch. That count rides iCloud Keychain instead, and is covered under Momentum Subscription below.
The app never asks for your device's location and does not use GPS.
When you type an address for an application or interview, that text is sent to Apple Maps to fetch suggestions, coordinates, and the small map preview. Those requests go to Apple, not to us, and are covered by Apple's privacy policy. Building a route opens Apple Maps or Google Maps at your choice.
Goal reminders and interview reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification content ever leaves your phone, and you can turn them off in Settings or in the system settings at any time.
You control the data completely:
- Export everything to an Excel or CSV file at any time; the file is created on your device and shared only where you send it
- Delete individual applications with a swipe
- Remove any saved resume from the AI tools screen
- Erase everything with Reset All Data in Settings
We hold no copy to delete on our side. When you delete it here, it is gone from the app and from your iCloud copy.
There are no advertising or tracking SDKs, and nothing profiles you or follows you between apps. The app only ever contacts:
- Apple, for iCloud sync if you turn it on, for Maps lookups on addresses you type, and for purchases
- Google, for the AI features, and only when you tap one
- Google, when the app opens, to ask its server what time it is. That request carries nothing about you and reads only the date on the reply. Your monthly AI allowance is counted against that time rather than your device's clock, so changing the date in Settings cannot hand out a fresh month
- The job posting link you give it, to read that page
That is the whole list. Nothing about you is sent on a schedule or in the background.
Momentum is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether a subscription is currently active; we never see your card, your address, or your Apple Account.
How many AI runs you have left this month is counted in your device's keychain. If you use iCloud Keychain, that count travels to your other devices, so one subscription is one allowance rather than a fresh one on every phone. It is a number and a month, nothing more, and it is never reported to us or to anyone else.
At any time you can:
- Read everything the app knows directly in the app
- Export your data as an Excel workbook or standard CSV
- Delete any entry or wipe everything permanently
- Use the app fully offline, without an account
- Disable notifications and iCloud sync
The app is intended for job seekers aged 16 and older, and the content is aimed at people entering the workforce.
We collect nothing ourselves and there is no account to create. Anyone under 18 should know that using an AI feature sends the text described above to Google, and should check with a parent or guardian before doing so.
If the app gains features that change how data is handled, this policy will be updated with it and material changes will be called out in the update notes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
